Chef Lata Tondon is a food explorer, businesswoman, and creator of the Hidden Recipe Frak. Lata Tandon who was born in April 1980 into the illustrious Digwani family of Rewa moved to London from MP Lata,, Madhya Pradesh, and spent her early years cooking. She is the Longest Cooking Marathon, 87 hours, 45 minutes, Guinness World Record Holder. 

She accomplished this achievement first among women worldwide. Prior to now, Rickey Lumpkin from Los Angeles, California, USA, held the world record for the longest cooking marathon with 68 hours, 30 minutes, and 1 second. Chef Lata Tondon, who lives in London, aspired to break the record and be the first Indian woman to accomplish so.

On Monday, May 15, 2023, a Nigerian chef smashed the previous record. Chef Hilda Bassey Effiong (Hilda Baci) beat Chef Lara Tondon's record of 87 hours, 45 minutes, but Hilda Baci has received encouragement from Lata Tondon, who holds the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by a single person.

Renowned chefs including Claude Bosi, Jun Tunaka, Pips, Dale, Maxx, Paris, and many others oversaw her work when she was in London. Her employment history includes Bibendum in South Kensington, Aqua Shard in the Shard Building, The Ninth in the heart of London, among other Michelin-starred establishments. Among others, she has attended masterclasses taught by Chef Gordon Ramsey and Jamie Oliver. She received a PhD from the World Record University in London as recognition for her accomplishments.

She also owns a number of additional national and international honors, including, to name a few, the Vietnam Book of Records, the Laos Book of Records, the Indo-China Book of Records, the India Book of Records, and the Nepal Book of Records. Additionally, in 2018, she was crowned International Indian Chef of the Year.

Lata Tondon, who currently holds the record for cooking, has wished Nigerian chef  Hilda Baci luck on her quest to beat it.
