NEWS: Fresh Attack By Gunmen Claim Lives In Kaduna


Not less than three persons have been murdered during an attack by some unknown gunmen on Sunday night just between Asso and Tanda Bridge in Gwong Chiefdom of Jema’a LGA of Kaduna State.

Mr Peter Averik, who is the Chairman of the Local Government, who made a confirmation on the development to our News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday, stating that the attack was carried out around 7:30pm when some unknown gunmen started shooting at innocent persons who were all taking a walk along the Asso and Tanda bridge.

The gunmen were seemed to be advancing and opened fire on the pedestrians over fear that they may be exposed.


“One person died immediately while the two others two others who are injured were rushed to Fadan Kagoma Hospital where one of them died this morning after the seriousness of the injury that was sustained,” he stated.

Averik further made a confirmation that the third victim’s dead body was discovered earlier on Monday in a bush path at Wazo village before Aso.

He stated that proper arrangements has been made to convey all injured persons to Barau Diko Specialist Hospital in Kaduna, after a referral was done from Sir Patrick Memorial Hospital, Kafanchan.

The Chairman made it known that some security personnel had since been sent out to the affected community, emphasizing that government would continue to make sure of their safety.
