NEWS: FG Sets Date For Transmission Of New Minimum Wage Bill To National Assembly


The Federal Government has finally set 23rd January 2019  for the transmission of a bill for a new national minimum wage to the National Assembly.

Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, disclosed this when he had a meeting with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress and its allies in Abuja yesterday January 8th. .

He assured the labour leaders that the government will be presenting the recommendations of the tripartite committee to the States Security Council in the coming weeks.

The Labour Unions are demanding that minimum wage of Nigerian workers be increased from N18, 000 to N 30, 000.
