After the return of relative peace in the southern part of Kaduna State, unidentified gunmen on Sunday, invaded Angwan Pah village, Jama’a Local Government Area, leading to loss of life and injuries.
According to Guardian.ng 14 persons were killed while 21 other people were seriously injured in the attack perpetrated.

However Thisdaylife.com disclosed that 15 persons were killed leaving 20 others dead.

The sources gathered that  the event took place at a wedding ceremony.  

In a statement Issued yesterday by Samuel Aruwan Senior Special Assistant to Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Media and Publicity, Troops have been deployed in the troubled community.

“Criminal elements must not be allowed to divide the people and wantonly take lives. The governor has sent a message of condolence to the community, expressing his deep sadness at the loss of lives and his sympathy for the victims and their families.” He said.

He urged anybody with useful information on the attack to kindly make it available to the security agencies near them. 

“The governor has also directed Jema’a Local Government Council and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to, as a matter of urgency, work towards taking care of the victims receiving medical attention and providing relief materials to the community,” he added
